Dr. Nima Massoomi's presentation will focus on the use of CBCT technology and 3D printing and how it can improve patient outcomes and aesthetics in a predictable manner. With the recent improvements in CBCT imaging and guide fabrication, the published data shows that guided implant placement is becoming the standard of care, in place of "free-handing" implants. The talk will focus on a review of the most recent data on this topic, case selection and treatment planning. He will present 10 years of personal experience with guided implant placement in the aesthetic zone, with the prefabrication of temporary crowns using 3D printed modeling. He will then delve into more complicated full mouth rehab cases using CBCT guided placement of multiple implants for the All-on-4 concept, with guided bone reduction using a novel "3-guide technique" that he has developed and published. Lastly, the talk will showcase the first and only FDA approved Dental Robot "Yomi" and it will impact the future dentistry.
